Me and my partner did a six-week stint of relationship counselling with Alison. As a man I was doubtful that anything would work but was willing to give it a try. Despite my skepticism, Alison was reassuring and compassionate with large amounts of knowledge and experience. She helped us with coping mechanisms which has enabled me and my partner to communicate and reconnect once again. Would highly recommend Alison to anyone in need of gaining that spark back. It’s obvious to me that what we’re currently experiencing will not be a constant but feel confident that we now possess the basic (at least) tools to carry on coming together whilst learning from, and growing together as life partners. I will miss our sessions as I (sort of) enjoyed the safety of experiencing uncomfortable growth - it actually felt a bit magical.
Working with Alison has been very helpful. My partner and I only had a couple of sessions but it has made a huge difference and really helped us improve our communication. I’ve just spent the last 2 days with Alison leading and facilitating Leadership Training. I’ve taken away several learnings that will enable to improve as a leader. She’s an excellent listener and had several models and structure to help manage situations in a positive manner. She is a first class coach and I highly recommend Alison for executive coaching.
Critically, the conversations we had about the ‘relationship I have with myself’ helped me challenge some unhelpful assumptions which were holding me back. Alison’s skill is to navigate conflict, connection and collaboration and help individuals develop confidence to know their strengths, work out how to accentuate them and increase their influence and impact within and outside of an organisation.
